SUNRISE HIKE & CLIMB
LE MORNE MOUNTAIN
Hiking & Climbing Le Morne Mountain is a fantastic way to have an adventurous outdoor experience and to view the island's stunning nature from different perspectives.
Situated at the extreme southwestern tip of Mauritius, you will take the same route followed by the runaway slaves who were on the quest for freedom.
Le Morne Brabant was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2008 to memorialize the runaway slaves who preferred to commit suicide by jumping off the cliff rather than being captured and enslaved again.
The hike includes a total of 4 rock-scrambling and climbing areas. You will be guided by our certified mountaineer who is totally committed to safety, comfort and fun.
You will also spot “Boucle d’Oreille” commonly known as Trochetia Boutoniana, the endemic national flower of Mauritius.
Participants must have a good level of fitness and not having any fear of heights.
