Climbing Junction Peak in Mauritius

Greetings from the summit of Junction Peak!

Junction Peak is one of the peaks of the Moka range. There is actually no visible path which one may follow to reach the summit. Therefore you have to make your own way and this is how we realized that this trek is not meant for everyone, not your usual Sunday walk!

The last section of the trek can be challenging in terms of bushwhacking on an ascent but as you can see, the views are absolutely worth it! A few common mountains such as Le Pouce, Pieter Both, Guiby Peak, Berthelot Peak can be seen from the top of the Junction Peak.

Here's a small 4K footage at the summit of the Junction Peak.

If you are looking forward for some mind-blowing hikes and treks in Mauritius then you should definitely visit the HIKE section on our website for a fine selection of guided tours which you must not miss during your stay on the island.
